CLEARSY is the prime contractor in the design, supply and deployment of the detection system of individual, in the gaps between the train and the landing doors of the curved stations of lines 1 and 4 of PARIS. It is a detection system using laser technology based on supervised automatons distributed in stations.
As part of the project to fully automate line 1, and now line 4, platform screen doors have been deployed on all the platforms in use.
They allow shuttles to circulate in full automatic mode (driverless and unattended mode) and consequently improve regularity by the control of the stopping time. However, the curves of the platforms in certain historical stations create gaps between the rolling stock and the platform gates. It is therefore necessary to make sure that no one has been able to get in when the doors close.
The system has been in operation since June 2021 in the Vavin, Cité, Denfert-Rochereau and Barbès-Rochechouart stations on line 4 of the Paris metro.
Now equipped with landing doors on the entire line, it is operated in complete safety thanks to CLEARSY’s gap monitoring system.
